TI Says He Retires After “Kill The King” Album As Sexual Assault Complaints Rise

Besieged rapper TI has announced he is ready to throw in the towel as he hints at retirement following the release of his next album.

It has been a difficult six months for TI and his wife Tiny Harris as dozens of women say he has raped or sexually assaulted them in the past. The drama for the rapper and his wife began after a falling out in January with former family friend Sabrina Peterson who alleged the rapper pointed a gun at her head. Her reaction to the family prompted her to disclose the couple’s swinging lifestyle, but what aimed to expose the couple’s sexual indiscretions quickly turned into an avalanche of allegations of sexual abuse from women. in Georgia, California and Florida.

The victims accused the rapper and his wife of allegations of sexual abuse and drugs. They both denied any guilt.

On Tuesday, the rapper announced his retirement from rap on his latest album, Kill the king drops.

A clip titled “What It’s Come To” begins with audio of a woman who is said to be Peterson demanding an apology from the reality TV couple discussed in recent months as more women have brought charges.

“Tell the truth about me,” Peterson says as mock comic laughter erupts in the background. “Tell the truth and apologize, and I’m gone. Here’s the other condition: do it within seven days. Within seven days tell the truth, apologize and I’m gone.

The intro of the video continues with a quote from Syreeta Butler, who says, “A toxic person will create drama and then come forward as the victim.”

During the video, TI can be heard addressing Peterson but not the allegations per se. The end of the video reads “7 Days Later” after which what looks like a giant piano from the sky falling on someone playing the part of Peterson with a man she was walking with.

In a 2017 interview with The Breakfast Club, he said he had a few other albums in him before he left.

“I’m ready to get the hell out [the rap game], “he said.” I had this next album; I have three albums in mind that I’ve already conceptualized. Once I put them out, I’m done.

His latest album “The balance ”Was released last October with feature films with several renowned artists such as 21 Savage, 42 Dugg, Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, Eric Bellinger, Jadakiss, Killer Mike, Lil Baby, Rapsody, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, Young Thug et al. The album performed well, peaking at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 and No. 9 on the Top R & B / Hip Hop Albums chart.
