The Toadies Announce Dates for 25th Anniversary ‘Rubberneck’ Tour

The Toadies will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their escape Onlooker album to end the year, even if the numbers don’t quite match. Nicknamed the tour “Rubberneck 25th Anniversary (and then some)”, the title takes note of the decline of the pandemic, the group can finally welcome its release in 1994.

During these next dates, the band will play the album from start to finish. The 11-song set includes their basic ’90s alternative rock radio “Possum Kingdom”, as well as stars such as “Mister Love”, “Away”, “Tyler” and “Backslider”.

It’s a fast-paced race, which kicks off with three shows in early November in New Orleans, Houston and Dallas with the support of Rev.Horton Heat (playing their Liquor on the front full album) and Nashville Pussy. There will also be four concerts in Texas at the end of December in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Austin and Fort. With the support of Rev. Horton Heat, Nashville Pussy and Drakulas on select dates. The end of 2021 is just another precursor Onlooker 25th anniversary shows to come, as the group recently postponed their hike from fall 2021 to 2022, with new dates due to be revealed shortly.

It’s also worth noting that one dollar from every ticket to The Factory show in Dallas on November 7 will be donated to the Jeff Saenz Recovery Project. The Toadies Clark Vogeler explains, “Jeff Saenz is a talented musician and producer who lost both hands in a tragic accident but survives and needs help rebuilding his life and the lives of his family. ‘One dollar per ticket sold from our November 7 show in Dallas to its recovery fund and encourage other artists and venues to do something similar. ”Learn more about the Jeff Saenz Recovery Project here.
