Roman spilled the beans as he appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show alongside his father, Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp.
Martin was asked if he would like to try the ballroom pageant and he replied that he would, even though he thought he would be out in the first round because his “knees are so bad.”
Roman intervened: “I would like to do it, they asked me to.”
“I ended up going, it’s like an audition… if I’m totally honest, I had a good time, but it’s too much effort.”
“It’s so hard. It’s so hard,” he added.
The 28-year-old also joked that he would only sign up for the BBC’s program if he could dance with professional Oti Mabuse, who was also a guest on Jonathan Ross’ show.

Roman finished third in the competition, finishing behind runner-up Andy Whyment and Queen of the Jungle Jacqueline Jossa.
