Tampa Bay took a two-point lead when Alvarado walked pinch hitter Mike Brosseau with the goal load.

Wheeler unusually gave Yandy Díaz and Meadows back-to-back goals with two strikeouts in the sixth before Ji-Man Choi gave the Rays a 3-2 lead on a single.

Phillies wide receiver JT Realmuto was reinstated from the 10-day injured list after being pulled out with a bruised left hand and went 0 for 3 with a walk and stolen base.

Rays: RHP Chris Archer feels the tendonitis in his right forearm is gone and now it’s time to build strength in his arm. There is no date for his return but Archer would be happy for him to perform in early July.

Phillies RHP Zach Eflin (2-4) will start Sunday’s two-game series final. LHP Josh Fleming (4-3) could be the starter or call an opener for Tampa Bay.
