The head of the evangelical spiritual church INRI, Primate Ayodele, reacted to claims that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, died in detention.
Primate Ayodele assured that Kanu would not die in prison despite his current job.
Speaking in his church on Saturday, the clergyman stressed that the leader of the IPOB would eventually be released on bail again.
According to Ayodele: “Nnamdi Kanu will not die in prison, much later he will be released on bail. “
In 2017, Kanu was first arrested and then charged in a Federal High Court in Abuja headed by Judge Binta Nyako.
The same year, Judge Nyako granted the leader of the IPOB bail, but he skipped it and fled to Europe where he continued his agitation for the updating of Biafra.
However, a few weeks ago, Kanu was arrested again by the Nigerian government in an African country, many of which are believed to have been Kenya.
During his re-arrest, the head of the IPOB was repatriated to Nigeria and again brought to justice before Judge Nyako.
The trial judge placed him in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Meanwhile, Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor had revealed that the IPOB leader would soon be released.
