Joseph T. Leonard, 57, a Dallas resident, unexpectedly fell into eternal life on Monday afternoon, September 6, 2021, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
His beloved wife was Jane Powell Leonard. Together, Joe and Jane celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on July 21.
Born December 29, 1963 in Kingston, Joseph was the son of Susan Christian Leonard of Plains Township.
Joe graduated from Wyoming Area High School, class of 1981. He continued his education at Penn State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Since 2007, Joe has owned and operated PTL Mitigation and Restoration LLC, Wilkes-Barre.
A man of faith, Joe was a member of Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas.
Joe has had a lot of fun in life, especially playing tennis, target shooting, and cheering on his beloved Penn State. Above all, his greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband and a loyal father to his three daughters. He was proud of the accomplishments of each of his daughters and he never missed any of their sporting events or functions – he truly was their biggest fan! His presence will be missed beyond measure and his legacy will live forever in the hearts of those close to him.
Besides his wife Jane and his mother Susan, Joe is survived by his three daughters, Michelle Leonard, Wilkes-Barre; Jennifer Leonard, Dallas; and Melissa Leonard, Dallas; her sister, Lynn Leonard, New Hope; her sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joe’s visit to be held Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wroblewski Inc. Funeral Home, 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.
Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday from Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, followed by a Christian burial mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Gate of Heaven Church , 40 Machell Ave., Dallas, with Rev. Andrew S. Hvozdovic, Pastor, officiant.
