Jim Caruso’s Cast Party continues to celebrate talent!

Now in its triumphant 20th year, “Jim Caruso’s Cast Party” continues to be a hugely popular Open Mic/Variety Show night bringing Broadway glitz and urban spirit to New York’s legendary Birdland every Monday night.

Last week was no different, and a wide variety of musical artists were eager to entertain the sold-out venue. Irish singer/songwriter Declan O’Rourke serenaded the audience, Grammy nominee Crystal Lewis (Nickelodeon’s “Roadhouse”) showed off her chops, David Maiocco shone as Liberace, folksinger Christine Lavin did laugh, cabaret legend Sharon McKnight belted out and Gabrielle Stravelli was heard stomping her way into everyone’s hearts! Of course, the Cast Party Symphony Orchestra (Billy Stritch on piano, Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on drums) accompanied the team with musical brilliance, while host Jim Caruso kept the constant three-ring circus going. under pressure.

As always, Kevin Alvey was there to photograph the fun!

At Cast Party, showbiz superstars take the stage alongside newcomers, serving up jaw-dropping music and general awe. It’s the perfect place to mingle with show people and the people who love them! Showman Jim Caruso guides the whole affair with razor-sharp humor and the unbridled enthusiasm of a super fan. Musical director Billy Stritch holds court at the ivories, with Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on drums. But the real fun begins when the audience takes part in the festivities on stage. Caruso and Stritch took the show on the road, celebrating talent in London, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, Dallas, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, the Hamptons, Provincetown, Miami, Orlando and Delray Beach, as well as all-star special events at The Town Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

Cast Party has received four BroadwayWorld Awards, a MAC Award, a Bistro Award and a Nightlife Award.
