Home Bargains and buyer B&M transforms the bathroom at a bargain price

A mum has managed to completely transform her bathroom using Home Bargains and B&M products and has now revealed how she did it.

Lyndsey Thomas and her husband Adrian were told by a local company it would cost them £550 to redo their toilets, but the couple took matters into their own hands and were able to do it for just £235.

The couple, from South Wales, wanted to keep costs as low as possible and so visited their local Home Bargains and B&M stores.

There, they were able to find the look they wanted for their bathroom, but at a much lower cost.

Like reported by the Daily Recordthe couple also scoured sales, did all the painting themselves, and were able to find a cheaper tiler to do the tiling.

Sharing the makeover on the DIY On A Budget UK Facebook group, Lyndsey wrote: “We came up with the idea for our makeover after researching small toilet and bathroom ideas on Pinterest.

“We felt like we had to make it look a bit special because it’s such a small room.

“We had two quotes to do the work from local contractors. One was £510 and the other £550, so we decided to try and do it ourselves.”

She continued: “When we took possession of the property, the toilets looked tragic and sorry for themselves.

“We felt we needed something special because the room was so small and needed to be expanded.

“When looking for design ideas, we scoured Pinterest and found the look we liked.

“I shopped around looking for the same products we saw on Pinterest at prices that were within our budget.

“Home Bargains and B&M sell a lot of great stuff, so we ended up buying from there.

“I think if you’re willing to look around, you can get anything within your budget. Facebook Marketplace is also a great place to buy things cheap.”
