DNCU News:

SANTA FE – Chuck Valenti, President and CEO of Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU), today announced that the cooperative had reached $1 billion in total assets as of June 30, 2022.

DNCU attributes its impressive growth to a focus on member service and its continued commitment to its core mission of improving life in New Mexico.

“To improve service to our members, the DNCU has committed to a series of process improvements and increased efficiency efforts that have led to greater confidence in the organization among members and the Greater New Mexico community,” Valenti said. “By following the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, we quantify our progress in leadership, organizational excellence and overall results as we fulfill our role as New Mexico’s ideal partner for a better future.”

In addition to hitting the ten-digit mark for all assets, the DNCU’s loan portfolio now exceeds $700 million, with deposits reaching nearly $910 million. The number of DNCU physical locations and employees has also seen impressive growth with two additional full-service branches added in the Rio Rancho and Española areas in 2021 and 2022, respectively, bringing the total number of branches from the DNCU to eight.

DNCU’s 214 employees are key to the success of the financial organization’s call to the Land of Enchantment, said Valenti, adding that “Every day, our committed employees strive to provide five-star service to all our members. We could not have reached this milestone without their daily commitment to improving and growing the DNCU. »

DNCU has been awarded a 5-star superior rating for 73 consecutive quarters as of March 31, 2022 by Bauer Financial, the nation’s leading independent banking research and rating firm. The New Mexico financial stalwart also boasts a healthy “A” rating from Deposit Accounts, a leading bank account comparison site.
